Time to call it a night

You would think these three hadn't had a nap this afternoon. Truth be told, we ALL took one!

Hamster Dance

Jordan, Uncle Andy and Kelly -- it still works and I enjoyed it quite a bit this weekend, even though I wasn't the original recipient.

Playing princess

Thanks Aunt Christy! Mad props to my cousins who passed down the fun leotards and dress up clothes too. I was overheard saying "Let's go to the grocery store and say look at me"

It's taco soup - and I helped

Delicious

Does anyone else remember that Shake and Bake commercial Mom is recalling? Anyway, we had taco soup this week and I pretty much handled the heavy cooking involved. Mom said we're having fajitas on Monday. I can hardly wait to get back in the kitchen!

Mom's shopping trip

This is for you Uncle Wes :

$22.00, 2 rain checks, Super Double Days, 11 coupons, 2 friendly encounters with fellow couponers. That's about all there is to say until the next trip.
p.s. I'm not really sure if I like tunafish, but I think we're about to find out.

Other randomness

No Dad, Mom has not found (or looked for) the red-eye reduction on the camera yet. It's on her to-do list.

I'm growing into my new bibs

New socks.
The pumpkin ones are getting kind of small.
These feature a giraffe.

Friday afternoon popcorn party. Blankie attended, of course.

Snoozefest.
You'd think they were running around after a toddler all weekend.

Poolside with Nora

Mom and I hit open swim today. I was so excited. The best part was jumping in over and over again. We didn't get any footage at the pool, but here's what followed later on at home.

I made Mom dress the babies in swim suits

My cover-up just wasn't doing it, so I donned my robe as well.

Where in the house is Cheeto - installments 2 & 3

Take a guess. All correct answers will be entered in a drawing for a...9 week stay with Cheeto? What no one wants to take a shot? Oh ok, I'll give you a hint.

What do you mean you don't want to come over for dinner at my house anymore?

Tub time.
Watch out for the dinosaur. He floats, right Dad?

We did the dash

The polar dash that is.

Getting ready to go. I forgot my boots at daycare.
These are two sizes too small, but aren't they cute?

I pointed out to Mom that the polar bear is wearing shoes.

Waiting in line for our turn. "We got to take turns"

Go Nora go!

We got passed by 4 kids and their bears before
I ended up riding in the sled the rest of the way.

Then we warmed up with a snack.
Never mind the fact that was 38 degrees and I had 3 layers on.
Warming up with a snack is still the most important part.

Look at the birds Mom

Let's walk down the stairs
and up the stairs
and down again.

If you need help setting up a new computer, don't call these two. They're really kind of lazy.

Wine with dinner or Cheese with whine?

Mom and I had a lovely dinner tonight. When I asked Mom what her secret was, she said Wine. I thought just the other day she was telling me she doesn't care for whine. I'm still mulling it over. Mullet!

Incidentally, Mom's been dropping birthday hints like crazy today..perhaps more wine? not whine. A candle to make the house cozy? Not a big one, but a Christmas cookie/vanilla or cinnamon something or another. A houseplant for the new room? I'd like to see you ship that from Switzerland.

Onto the subject of shipping things, we need to rethink our strategy. Mom and I stopped at the post office today and the flat rate box is tiny.

So Dad, I bet you thought Mom was going to hijack this post today to tell you about her shopping, since it was coupon day and all. I guess the thought of arranging it all for a picture was too much, but stay tuned for an email with all the details and next week...the big cereal sale! I'll see if I can make a tower of Chex for the camera.

Burger me!
(purchased with a coupon, enjoyed with ketchup)

What a Weekend!

After the pancakes and a brief Elmo respite, we headed out to see a singer. We learned that you need EIGHT hugs a day.

We wore our crocs. I put mine on myself. Can you tell?

I was very proud of putting my sweater on too until Mom told me it was upside down.

At the show

Other highlights from the weekend include going for a walk with Mom and spending time with the grandparents. Mom said it was supposed to be warm. It was not. On the bright side, we hauled something home from the curb during our walk. This always makes her happy.

Funny but somehow predictable point of the weekend - Cheeto got into the paint tray and ran around the house with yellow paws. For that, he does not make it into the photo blog tonight.

Catching a snooze on the floor or what might happen if you leave Grandpa in charge.

We all like the new room. Thanks to our painting crew! You two rock!

Bob is especially fond of the bed and new curtains. Doesn't he look handsome in yellow?

Mom's haul from the curb. Nothing a little paint can't fix!

My Tiny Pancakes

Saturday started early when I woke up at 5:20. Mom thought it was going to be a LONG day.

She put me right to work!

What are we making?

Tiny pancakes!

Incidentally, Mom bought 4 boxes of this pancake mix for 50 cents each. There are 20 servings in each box. Unfortunately, it's not that good! Did she learn her lesson? Probably not.

Dad, I want to give you a shout-out. I enjoyed the pic of you with your HUGE pancake! I told Mom she should work on her self portrait. She took one of us the other day, said something about a double chin and what do you know, it never ended up here on the blog.

Mail Call

Watch your mailbox Dad. We've been busy. Check it out!

Young artist at work

Oh yeah. If the princess shirt gets paint on it, it's ok with Mom.

Not a polar bear

Cheeto caught in the act of eating leftover paint

More evidence

Will arts and crafts time be a recurring event every Friday? Stay tuned.

Dip anyone?

So.. it's been a crazy last day or so. We declared the weekend a "no moping zone" and we celebrated.

We had tea parties.

We played Dress Up

We took Dad to the airport and "I run away." Mom and Dad told me if I kept running away, we'd have to go home early... and we did.

This is the time Dad's flight was supposed to take off Monday afternoon (I know the picture leave something to be desired. Mom is still figuring out the new camera.)

When we got home, Mom was at a loss for what to do with me or feeling lost or something like that. So she had Dad read me some books. I know what you're thinking. Wasn't Dad at the airport? I guess he was, but he was also in the TV! Dad must have read me a half a dozen books.

At one point I said "Dad! I have chapstick!" and "Good job Daddy!" Mom explained he taped himself reading these books while I was sleeping the last couple weeks. It's awesome Dad. Way to go! Here's a snapshot of me watching. Thrilling I know.

Ok, so I look a little down here. I was a little down, but I perked up today.

TODAY I had fun outside at daycare! This is literally the first time I haven't cried and wanted to go back in. On the car ride home, I ate chapstick! (Don't tell Mom. She warned me it would make me sick.)

Mom and I got a surprise skype call when we got home tonight. Unfortunately Mom wasn't ready to skype. The microphone wasn't working and the camera wasn't set up and I was trying to eat cucumbers with ranch dip (and so was Cheeto). Sorry you couldn't hear us Dad. I'm especially sorry about getting dip on the computer. I was just trying to give you some. Call us anytime. We have it figured out now.
