Quack Quack

Reaching

Got it!

Mmm..veggie lasagna

Thumbs are tasty too when covered in tomato sauce!

Julie has been having fun trying new foods. Tonight she ended up at the dinner table dressed like a duck. You can't get much cuter than a duck at the dinner table, especially in springtime. Last week she impressed me by trying to eat a quesadilla. This week her favorite is vegetable lasagna. She's getting better at actually getting some food in her mouth too! We may have to resurrect Dad's famous baked ziti from when Nora was a baby. I love eating with kids before they get suspicious of new foods and anything green!

Swinging and snoring

Nora is a dress my mom saved from when I was a kid
(*note - this is the ONLY thing she saved)

Nora's favorite way to swing these days

So relaxed

We got outside for a few minutes before heading to Grandma and Grandpa's on Sunday. It was a gorgeous morning!

Just sittin' around

What's in the box?

What are you looking at?

Oh hai Bob

I like books (because Mom says I have to)

Julie has been practicing and now she's sitting up. After almost 6 months of being low to the ground, this is a whole lot more fun! We got out some new toys for her to play with. It's debatable whether she or Nora enjoyed them more. Outside she has been exploring grass. We're not quite ready for the sandbox yet. We've been enjoying some family walks this week too.

Good night!

It was too much to hope they'd both look at the camera at the same time, much less smile simultaneously.

Tub time

Splish splash, we finally took a bath

Believe it or not, this is the first time the girls have had tub time together. Nora had graduated to showers (which was great because there's no faucet, only a showerhead), but now is back to enjoying bath time in the last month or so.) It also seemed safer up until now to do it separately, but by the look on their faces, they loved every minute of it.

I have a not so orange cat who'd like some attention. Perhaps there will be more blogging later this week. For now, I'm going to collapse on the couch and enjoy the silence.

Fruity

Nora going in for a raspberry

Post raspberry. More! More!

Hanging out in the blueberry, waiting for my turn in the tub.

After it cleared off this afternoon, it was another amazing March day. We took advantage of the unseasonably warm weather. After hauling back a massive amount of groceries + 2 kids from the store, we unloaded and went balance bike riding. We returned home at *gasp* 6:30! Usually that's heading towards bedtime for the girls, but who can pass up this weather. After our post store snacks, no one was terribly hungry anyway. Nora did a great job entertaining Julie this afternoon. It's really fun to see them enjoy being sisters.
